Man Utd keen on Jadon Sancho and four other signings after Aaron Wan-Bissaka transfer

Manchester United have, after weeks of speculation, finally announced the signing of Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

The 21-year-old becomes the Red Devils’ second signing of the summer transfer window, following Wales international Daniel James to Old Trafford.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is delighted at the arrival of Wan-Bissaka, saying: “Aaron is one of the best upcoming defenders in the Premier League.

“He has the right work ethic, talent and mentality to play for Manchester United and he fits exactly the type of player that we are looking to bring into the squad to help us improve and push on further.

“Aaron is a young, hungry player and eager to learn and that’s important at his age.

“I am delighted he has signed with us and we look forward to continuing his tremendous development so far.”

And the Telegraph say that United are interested in five players in the aftermath of their deal for the 21-year-old.

It is claimed that, with Wan-Bissaka now done, the club could move on to Harry Maguire or Sean Longstaff next.

Longstaff is seen by United as a long-term replacement for coach Michael Carrick, who retired a year ago.

The midfielder flourished for Newcastle last season and, with the Toon without a manager, the Red Devils could make their move.

Maguire, meanwhile, is the leading choice to become the club’s defensive recruit.

United know they must land a centre-back this summer after shipping 54 Premier League goals last season.

And the Leicester star could finally make the move to Old Trafford, a whole year after Jose Mourinho was told no regarding a potential transfer.

Bruno Fernandes of Sporting Lisbon is also on United’s radar.

And the Telegraph say the Red Devils also have interest in West Ham and Borussia Dortmund players Declan Rice and Jadon Sancho.

Rice is another midfield target with United still in need of replacements for Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini.

Sancho, meanwhile, was initially the club’s No 1 target for the transfer window.

Upon learning that Dortmund would want over £100million to let the winger go, the Red Devils changed tact.

But it still appears the England international is on the club’s radar, even with no Champions League football to offer.
