Man Utd hit roadblock in Bruno Fernandes transfer talks and refuse Sporting Lisbon demands

Ed Woodward is said to be worried about future transfers if they pay the £68m demanded by Sporting.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made signing a midfielder his priority this month with Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay out injured.

Fernandes played in what could be his last match for Sporting last night in the 2-0 defeat to rivals Benfica.

After the match his manager Silas said: “I hope now. So far we don’t know, nor does Bruno know.

“We will try to keep him for more games, but it’s not up to us.”
