Man Utd fans spot what Romelu Lukaku did to Angel Di Maria after late penalty

Romelu Lukaku appeared to celebrate in front of Angel Di Maria as Manchester United stunned PSG in the Champions League.

Lukaku scored twice for United before Marcus Rashford’s late penalty capped a memorable European comeback.

United had been beaten 2-0 in the first leg at Old Trafford last month as Di Maria returned to his former club.

The Argentine was booed throughout but set up both PSG goals on the night. He also appeared to shout “f*** off” at the United fans before drinking a beer that was thrown on the pitch.

But United got their own back in Paris as they secured their place in the quarter-finals.

Rashford secured victory for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men but it was Lukaku’s celebration that got some fans talking.

The Belgian appeared to run across the path of Di Maria and seemingly celebrated in his face before joining his teammates.

His antics went down well among United supporters on social media.

Lukaku had been on a hat-trick in Paris but let Rashford step up to tuck away the penalty.

The same had happened against Southampton on Saturday but Paul Pogba missed from the spot.

On the decision to give the opportunity to his strike partner, Lukaku said: “I was happy that he scored. He came to me and wanted to shoot.

“I said ‘man, this is your time. Do it for yourself and us’.”

Lukaku hopes his impressive partnership with Rashford can continue in the coming weeks.

“I like it more because Marcus and I, we are dynamic, we have a lot of running in us and we score goals,” he added.

“It has been nice to play him. When we played against Southampton, he made it so much easier for me and I scored two goals.”
