Man Utd fans send Jadon Sancho message to Ed Woodward as youngster stars for England

Jadon Sancho’s growing reputation was enhanced yet further during England’s Euro 2020 qualifier against the Czech Republic at Wembley.

The Borussia Dortmund winger caught the eye again as the Three Lions dominated during the first half.

He played a key role in the opening goal as he was given his first competitive start by Gareth Southgate.

Sancho held his run brilliantly to latch on to Harry Kane’s pinpoint through ball and square for Raheem Sterling to score a trademark goal from close range.

Later in the first period, Sancho produced an outrageous piece of skill on the byline to win a corner, flicking the ball from behind him through the defender’s legs to huge cheers from the Wembley crowd.

Sancho has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer.

He dropped a hint he could be open to the move on social media by retweeting a post that included quotes from Rio Ferdinand championing the potential transfer.

Ferdinand told Goal: “I would take him [at Manchester United] all day. English, young, hungry and talented, that’s all I need to know.”

He added: “I have known Jadon since he was a kid, knew him through friends. I have known his family since he was a kid, before he was even born.

“He has got the mentality. The mentality is a big part of it all, whether he has the physical attributes or not.”

And United fans were quick to noticed his display at Wembley – and just as quick to urge Ed Woodward to seal the deal.

One posted: “I would love for United to sign Jadon Sancho. He is such a huge talent, he is the perfect solution to our right wing spot which we so badly need to resolve.

“The potential front line of Martial, Rashford and Sancho next season is ridiculous to think about.”

Another suggested swapping Sancho for Alexis Sanchez, posting: “We must simply get sancho. Will be inconsistent but so exciting. Sanchez out and Sancho in for me. Get on it Ed.”

A third tweeted: “Jadon Sancho is baller. We need to try & snap him up.”
