Man Utd contacted £88m world-record transfer target in April, Liverpool want 'new Neymar'

Blues busy summer

Chelsea are ready to offload several first-team players in the upcoming transfer window.

But they will NOT part ways with midfielder pair N’Golo Kante and Jorginho, both of whom have been linked with Juventus.

The Blues have five players have have been deemed ‘surplus to requirements’ by Frank Lampard and those include Tiemoue Bakayoko, Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri, Michy Batshuayi and Davide Zappacosta.

ESPN claim Chelsea have a few incoming options in addition to Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech with Jadon Sancho, Ben Chilwell, Moussa Dembele, Timo Werner and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the shortlist.

Federico Chiesa to Juventus

Fiorentina star Federico Chiesa is a known target for Manchester United and Chelsea.

But Serie A champions Juventus haven’t given up hope of signing the talented Italy international.

Recent reports have claimed the 22-year-old winger has started taking English lessons while Fiorentina’s director general Joe Barone confirmed a Premier League club had made contact.

But Italian newspaper Tuttosport claim Maurizio Sarri and Juventus remain keen to secure his signature.

No PL for TK

Toni Kroos admits he expects to finish his career with Real Madrid and will NOT join a Premier League club.

The Germany international, 30, arrived at the Bernabeu from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in 2014 and has spent six successful seasons with the Spanish heavyweights.

Manchester United had a verbal agreement place to sign Kroos during David Moyes’ tenure while recent reports have suggested he could join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

“I definitely plan to be with Real for these three years,” Kroos told Eurosport. Then it is a good time at 33 to question yourself: what does it look like physically, what does motivation look like – I still feel like it to keep going?

“If something comes together and you say: ‘Okay, one more year here, because you are just good enough and you still feel like it’, I would not rule it out. But then a move to England, which is also played very physically, I can’t imagine that at 33.”

Financing Jadon Sancho

Chelsea could finance a deal for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho by offloading two unwanted on-loan players.

Premier League rivals Manchester United are also interested in Sancho with the England international valued at £120million.

Chelsea will have to generate funds through player sales and could earn themselves nearly £80m from selling the on-loan duo of Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata.

French publication Le10Sport claim PSG want to sign out-of-favour Bakayoko for £40m, while Atletico Madrid are ready to pay Chelsea the £47.8m to make Morata’s stay permanent, according to Marca.

Kalidou Koulibaly contact

Manchester United and Liverpool are set to battle it out for centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly.

That’s according to French publication Le10Sport, who claim Napoli are hoping to receive £88million for their Senegal international.

That price would constitute a world record fee for a defender – a record currently held by Manchester United, who paid £80m for Harry Maguire from Leicester in August 2019.

It’s claimed that executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward contacted Koulibaly’s representatives at the beginning of April to discuss a potential deal.

Le10Sport claim Paris-Saint Germain have ‘abandoned’ their interest in the 28-year-old, leaving United, Liverpool and Newcastle to fight for his services.

Wanted: Talles Magno

Liverpool have competition from Paris Saint-Germain in their pursuit of Talles Magno.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were reportedly leading the charge to sign the highly-rated Brazilian teenager with Vasco da Gama looking to sell because of the financial impact of COVID-19.

Magno, who’s been likened to Neymar, has a £44million release clause but Vasco are prepared to accept for around £26m.

However, French website Le10sport claim PSG have decided to challenge Liverpool, Sevilla, Lazio, Bayer Leverkusen and Benfica for his services.
