Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may lose four attackers in summer transfer window

Much has been made of Manchester United’s determination to improve their attack, with the likes of Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish on the club’s radar. However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could lose up to four attacking players this summer as things stand. Express Sport looks at the Red Devils forwards who may secure Old Trafford exits.

Alexis Sanchez

Earlier in the season, Solskjaer raised eyebrows by suggesting that United would give Alexis Sanchez a second chance to shine at Old Trafford.

The Chile international spent a torrid 18 months at the club before joining Inter Milan on loan last summer, finding the net just five times.

However, his struggles have continued in Italy with Sanchez managing to score just a single goal since his San Siro arrival.

United want him off the wage bill, contrary to Solskjaer’s words.

West Ham have emerged as potential suitors with David Moyes hopeful he can sign the veteran – but relegation may hamper their plans.

Angel Gomes

Before Mason Greenwood burst onto the scene, United staff members thought Angel Gomes was the standout talent of his age group.

However, the Red Devils are at severe risk of losing the 19-year-old at the end of the campaign.

Gomes will become a free agent in the summer, with the Red Devils currently unable to tie him down to a bumper new deal.

Chelsea are at the front of the queue for the teenager as things stand. Frank Lampard does have some concerns but the Blues are still hoping to add Gomes to their squad for next season.

Barcelona are also admirers of Gomes.

Ayodeji Sotona

Manchester United wonderkid Deji Sotona has reportedly been left questioning the club’s direction.

And the 17-year-old is yet to sign on professional terms at Old Trafford – which means he may be on the move this summer.

Sotona is said to be questioning whether the club is the right place for him to carry on his development, with incidents last season behind his thinking.

He scored the winner in United’s FA Youth Cup victory over Wigan in February.

But clubs from Spain, Italy and Germany are all keen on him and a parting of the ways could be on the cards.
