Man Utd: Alexis Sanchez on way to Inter but Paul Pogba’s future remains unclear

Sanchez deal agreed

Serie A club Inter Milan have agreed a deal with Manchester United to take Alexis Sanchez on loan.

The Guardian is just one of several outlets to claim that the clubs have reached an accord that will see the Chilean striker move to Italy for the rest of the season.

Alexis will have a medical today and, providing he gets a clean bill of health, he will join on loan for ten months.

The Guardian claims that Inter “do not have an option to buy”, and they will pay £175,000 of Sanchez’s £390,000-a-week salary.

At Inter he will link up again with former United team-mate Romelu Lukaku, who left Old Trafford this summer to join the Milan club.

Pogba’s future unclear

Paul Pogba’s brother still believes the Man Utd star could make the move to Real Madrid before the close of the European transfer window next week.

According to Metro, Mathias Pogba has said that there remains a possibility that his brother will sign terms with Real after months of fevered speculation.

In comments carried originally by Spanish paper AS, Mathias said: “It’s Real Madrid and Manchester United who need to talk… everyone knows my brother would be great for Real Madrid and [Zinedine] Zidane.”

Zinedine Zidane is keen to bring his compatriot to the Spanish capital, says Mathias Pogba, and the Real head coach holds the key to any potential transfer between now and 2 September.

“Zidane has always spoken highly of my brother, it’s an honour,” he told AS. “Another thing is that they [the board] listen to him.”

Asked if he believed a deal could be done in the next five days, Pogba’s brother replied: “I don’t know, I’m not inside the Bernabeu. In football you never know.”
