Man Utd agree Alexis Sanchez exit – flop should find out about Inter Milan deal on Monday

Alexis Sanchez should find out on Monday if his proposed season-long loan to Italian giants Inter Milan will get the green light.

Manchester United have agreed to let the Chilean international move to Italy after his switch from Arsenal 18 months ago turned into a massive flop.

Inter, who have already signed Romelu Lukaku, will take the former Barcelona star on loan for this season and will have an obligation to buy him for around £15million next summer.

Sanchez earns a basic £391,000 a week plus another £75,000 every time he starts a game, which is causing United problems in their quest to off-load him.

Inter say that they cannot afford to pick up the full tab and need United to finance some of his wages themselves but the two clubs cannot agree how much.

Sanchez, who is keen to escape his Old Trafford hell, has already agreed to the move and United bosses will meet Inter tomorrow in an attempt to thrash out a deal.

It is understood there is a willingness from both sides to get a deal over the line ahead of next week’s European transfer deadline.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears to be willing to let Sanchez leave, despite saying he expects him to stay.

“Alexis has come in and trained well,” the Norwegian said.

“He is, of course, four or five weeks behind the boys, and he has not played apart from the one behind closed doors here, so I think he’ll see this as an opportunity as well to make his mark.

“I do expect him to stay. There’s a striker there we think is going to be able to score some goals.”

But Red Devils hero Gary Neville believes Sanchez needs to go.

“I welcomed him coming to the club as he’s a tenacious forward that plays across the line and scores goals,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“But it’s been a disaster. I have no idea what’s happened.

“There must be two of him. The one that played for Arsenal and Barcelona and then the one that’s turned up in Manchester.

“They need to get him out of the club.”
