38: GOAL! Burnley silence an already quiet Old Trafford with a goal straight from the Sean Dyche textbook.
A free-kick is swung in to Ben Mee, who rises highest and knocks the ball down for Chris Wood. The big Australian evades the challenge from Harry Maguire to thump it home on the half-volley.
38: Miss! How’s he missed it!? Juan Mata sweetly plays in Anthony Martial one-on-one with Nick Pope. The Frenchman takes an absolute eternity to pull the trigger and that allows Charlie Taylor to swoop in with a sliding challenge. Too casual, then again, he’s always been like that and it’s infuriating.
35: Good chance for the hosts, and guess who created it? Wan-Bissaka strides past Dwight McNeil and tees up a floated delivery for Daniel James. He wins the header but there’s no venom on it and Pope tips it wide.
33: Danger! Time to shine, Dwight. The former Manchester United academy talent McNeil is stood over a free-kick around 20-yards from goal. He steps up… ah… yeah that didn’t go well. High, wide and basically terrible.
30: That’s GOT to be stuck away. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the main outlet tonight and the full-back is involved in creating another golden opportunity. He crosses in for Juan Mata, who manages to allow the ball to hit his standing leg and Burnley clear.
27: Close! Chris Wood heads the ball just wide of the post from a free-kick. And just as that’s happening- West Ham are awarded one of the softest penalties you’ll see all season. Mark Noble stuck it away to reduce the deficit. It’s 2-1 Leicester.
24: A very familiar pattern is developing here. Groundhog Day style. Burnley get bodes behind the ball, Manchester United are allowed to reach the edge of the 18-yard box and a speculative effort is gathered by Nick Pope. Rinse and repeat.
21: Just sitting here. Waiting. Hopeing this match will burst into life. I’m not hopeful.
18: Close! Another nice passage for Manchester United with the ball worked wide to Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who cuts the ball back for a static Anthony Martial to prod wide on the stretch. More anticipation required from the Frenchman.
15: No chances for either side but Manchester United are moving the ball nice and quickly. Plenty of pass and move but nothing much to unlock that stubborn Burnley defence.
13: Are Manchester United fans concerned by the growing number of empty seats at Old Trafford? I knew this is a midweek fixture but you always expect a full house. Tons of unsold tickets for the Wolves FA Cup replay last week too.
10: Daniel James wins the corner for Manchester United with a powerful run down the left to collect a Brandon Williams pass. The set-piece is inexplicably played short and Nick Pope gathers with ease. Few things irritate me more than short corners.
8: Anthony Martial is attempting to shake off the injury. He’s a brave little soldier. Anyway, I have a couple of half-time scores for you. Leicester are winning 2-0 against West Ham thanks to goals from Harvey Barnes and Ricardo Pereira. Dele Alli has Tottenham out in front against Norwich. That’s 1-0.
5: I’ve managed to make it five minutes without mentioning Bruno Fernandes to Manchester United. Another nine days to get that one over the line. I only mention it because Anthony Martial has gone down under a forceful challenge from James Tarkowski.
3: Burnley in a soft, pale blue strip this evening. Less intimidating than the traditional claret. Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira darts upfield and pings it back for Fred to hammer over from 20-yards out.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: “We have to use Sunday’s defeat as motivation. We don’t like to lose games, we like to bounce back quickly. We’ve done well here in the last few games and hopefully we can continue that run.
“You want a performance, we need a performance. They are always going to going to put you under pressure with the physicality, we need to start quick, hopefully with an early goal. They are one of the strongest teams on set-pieces so we hopefully need to play in their half.”

MANCHESTER UNITED vs BURNLEY
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that he should have an unchanged squad available to select from after his players came through Sunday’s clash with Liverpool unscathed.
The Red Devils suffered a dispiriting 2-0 defeat at Anfield but will look to get back to winning ways when they welcome Burnley to Old Trafford.
And Solskjaer confirmed that United have no new injury concerns for the midweek clash, although Victor Lindelof was seen leaving Carrington after just 15 minutes on Tuesday amid reports the Swede is ill.
Marcus Rashford also remains sidelined with the England international set for an extended spell on the treatment table after a double back stress fracture, while Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay are also out.
Burnley have no new injury concerns for the trip to Old Trafford with Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Ashley Barnes sidelined.
