The Labour leader has stated the party will support staying a member of the bloc if Prime Minister Boris Johnson pursues a no deal Brexit on October 31. Mr Corbyn told Sky news’ Sophy Ridge On Sunday, he will back a ‘People’s vote’ on the terms of Britain’s exit from the EU. When asked what his party’s Brexit policy was and if it was supporting a second referendum in all circumstances, Mr Corbyn said: “What we are saying, no deal we would oppose and we think people should have a final choice on it.
“They can have a vote then between remain or whatever option Boris Johnson decides to put to them at that time.”
Mr Corbyn was also questioned whether he would campaign for leave or remain, he said: “In the event of the no deal Brexit we would campaign to remain.”

Following Mr Corbyn’s remarks this morning, one user on Twiter said: “Riiigghht… Corbyn will campaign to Remain AND negotiate another deal with the EU. You couldn’t make it up.”
Another user said: “Those positions aren’t even compatible. The wheels have finally come off.”
Whilst a third simply said: “What else would you expect from Corbyn.”
The Prime Minister has already pledged a “do or die” Brexit and stated Britain will exit the bloc in 95 days with or without a deal, “no ifs or buts”.
With the prospect of no deal growing, Mr Corbyn also failed to guarantee whether he will table a vote on confidence in Mr Johnson after the summer recess.
Mr Corbyn said he will “look at the situation” and put forward the motion “at a time of our choosing”.
Mr Johnson’s appointment on Wednesday has already put daylight between the Tories and Labour in the polls.
A Deltapoll for the Mail on Sunday found the Conservatives have gained 10 points.
The survey put the Tory party on 30 percent, five points ahead of Labour on 25 percent, with the Liberal Democrats on 19 percent and Brexit Party 14 percent.
Despite the damning figures, Mr Corbyn insisted he was “not in the slightest” worried and has already got a summer plan in place to fight a general election.
Meanwhile bookmaker Ladbrokes has slashed the price of an election taking place – a general election in 2019 is now odds-on at 4/5.
Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “Time will soon tell if Corbyn is actually afraid or not, however it looks like a 2019 election is on the cards as far as the odds are concerned.”
