‘She used me for her own publicity’: MAFS’ Melissa Lucarelli slams Jules Robinson for dumping her as a bridesmaid via TEXT – and claims their friendship was ‘clearly an act’

Married At First Sight’s Melissa Lucarelli has unleashed at former friend and co-star Jules Robinson after she dumped her as a bridesmaid via text message.
Speaking to NW on Monday, the 38-year-old said: ‘One day we were texting about family and babies, then two days later she was dumping me as a bridesmaid.’
The brunette went on to claim that she feels Jules, 37, who is set to marry Cameron Merchant, 35, in November, had ‘used their friendship for her own publicity’.

During the show’s reunion, which aired in April, Jules asked co-stars Melissa and Heidi Latcham to be her bridesmaids while announcing her engagement.
However, Melissa now believes this was simply for ‘publicity’ and claims that when she confronted Jules about this, the redhead called her a ‘s*** friend’.
‘Just cause I said it on the show doesn’t mean I have to do it,’ Jules is alleged to have recently texted Melissa while dumping her from the bridal party.

An upset Melissa added that she feels their friendship was ‘clearly an act’.
She also claimed: ‘Now Cam and Jules are making money, she doesn’t need me anymore and she also doesn’t want me to get any publicity.’
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Jules’ rep for comment.

Interestingly, a ‘source’ went on to suggest to the magazine that Jules only asked Melissa to be her bridesmaid as she ‘had a huge following and was a fan favourite’.
But bizarrely, when Jules asked Melissa during filming for the reunion episode in Sydney on January 23, the show hadn’t started airing and none of the cast had fans.
The show did not premiere until several days later, with Melissa’s wedding airing on January 29, which was the first time the public were introduced to her.
By this point, she had already agreed to become Jules’ bridesmaid, which the public later discovered as the reunion episode aired on April 07.
