His relationship with Jessika Power has been controversial, but there’s one thing everyone can agree on: Daniel Webb can pull together a better cheese platter than Mick Gould.
Monday night’s episode of Married At First Sight saw Dan, 35, take Jessika, 27, out on a romantic Sydney Harbour cruise.
But he didn’t stop there, as he treated his new ‘wife’ to a fancy-looking spread including cheese, fruit and crackers.

‘Oh my gosh, babe! This is amazing!’ Jess said after seeing the cheese platter Dan had set up for her.
‘You’ve organised the most amazing date that I could have asked for,’ she added.
At one stage, Dan even hand-fed Jessika a slice of cheese on a cracker while talking about their future together.

‘He is the guy for me. He is the most amazing person,’ Jessika said afterwards.
Earlier in the series, Jessika’s now ex-husband Mick, 31, had also made a cheese platter for her – although his was rather modest by comparison.
The tradesman was trying to make things up to Jess, after she had discovered he’d been talking about their sex life with the other grooms.

After laying out a white towel, he unwrapped a series of supermarket cheeses and cold-cuts, still leaving them half-wrapped in the plastic.
Mick said he was trying to ‘put a bit of romance’ back into their relationship with his cheese platter.
‘Got to try and woo her somehow, and what better way than bloody wine and cheese platter,’ he explained.
‘See how we go, try and get out of the dog house!’

Despite looking as though he’d just clumsily unpacked a bag of groceries, Jessika was impressed by the ‘spread’.
‘Mick has set up a gorgeous platter for me with wine, which is, like, one of my favourite things in the whole world,’ she said at the time.
‘It was really beautiful.’

But it didn’t even compare to the cheese platter Dan made Jessika for their first date, and fans of the show were quick to point out the difference.
Based on cheese platters alone, some viewers seemed to think the administrative assistant had made the right choice dumping Mick for Dan.
