‘This was the most painful thing I’ve ever seen’: Married At First Sight fans slam the experts for allowing Connie Crayden and Jonethen Musulin to stay in the experiment

Married At First Sight groom Jonethen Musulin has been forced to remain in the experiment for another week after his ‘wife’ Connie Crayden wrote ‘stay’ during Wednesday night’s commitment ceremony.

Connie, 27, revealed she made the ‘very last minute decision’ for her own personal reasons, despite Jonethen announcing he wanted to leave.

And now, fans have slammed the shows experts John Atkins, Trisha Stratford and Mel Schilling, for allowing the pair to stay on the show, saying Connie was distressed and it’s ‘obvious they don’t belong together’.

Earlier this season, John Aiken forced Hayley Vernon off the show along with ‘groom’ David Cannon, 31, after she voted to ‘stay’.

Hayley, 32, insisted she wanted to leave her ‘groom’ to ‘suck eggs’ for a week and think over what he had done as punishment.

However, expert John shut it all down, forcing both contestants off the show, while insisting: ‘There are certain standards that we must adhere to.’

John told the pair: ‘We’re going to send you back to the group and you both will leave the experiment – regardless of the decision you’ve written down.’

‘This is a decision that we don’t take lightly, but we’re doing it because it is in your best interests, and this relationship is beyond repair.’

He also called what Hayley had planned, as well as the relationship between the pair, ‘unhealthy’ and ‘toxic’.
