Madison’s appearance comes after she admitted social media drove her to depression as it left her feeling ‘desensitised and emotionally detached’.

The American singer explained she limits her time on the platforms after feeling constant pressure to look glamorous, despite her 12.7 million followers.

Her concerns shortly followed Selena Gomez hitting out at social media for being ‘dangerous and devastating’.

In her interview, Madison addressed the toll negative comments had taken on her mental health as she spoke about the pressure she feels to constantly look perfect.

The New Yorker told The Sun: ‘It drove me into more of a depression. Reading comments is obviously something I’m used to, but whenever you feel s****y about yourself, and then you go and read that other people think you’re s****y too, it doesn’t feel very good.

‘It’s like ”Look at this girl who has 12 million followers, who’s hot, who can sing, who’s famous, who’s friends with all these celebrities, she has such a cool life.”

‘But it’s like ”the selfie that I posted, that you think is this beautiful girl who is perfect, it was being posted by a girl sick in bed, not having any makeup on and with pimple cream on my face.”’
