Made In Chelsea EXCLUSIVE: Sophie Habboo admits trip to Buenos Aires ‘wasn’t pleasant’ after Liv and Harvey drama left her ’embarrassed’… but insists she and Jamie are ‘happy’

Sophie Habboo has declared that her trip to Buenos Aires for the latest season of Made In Chelsea ‘wasn’t pleasant’.

Speaking to MailOnline, the reality star, 25, reflected on the fact that while in Argentina she learnt that boyfriend Jamie had been messaging other girls, and that her ex Harvey hooked up with best pal Liv.

‘It was hard because we were all confined in one space and all on top of each other – and then there’s an ex-boyfriend in the mix,’ Habbs said. ‘Harvey and I have been on and off for four-and-a-half years so he was a big part of my life. It’s very hard when you have a life and then another part of it from the past joins in.

‘The past is just never the past.  But I had drawn a line under [that past].’

Habbs also insisted it was the way Liv and Harvey went about their dalliance that aggravated her necessarily.

‘It wasn’t so much Liv and Harvey getting together that upset me. I think it was more that, although people said that maybe it was a one-time drunken thing, that wasn’t the case,’ Habbs went on.

‘I am happy with Jamie. It’s just that I felt a lot of things were going on behind my back and under my nose. And I felt embarrassed!’

In the third episode of the mini-series, Habbs learns that Liv and Harvey didn’t merely share a kiss – and that Harvey spent the night with Habbs in the room next door.

Yet she was told previously that they didn’t have sex – something that comes out as untrue.

‘They were not as truthful as they could have been,’ Habbs said. ‘It’s the fact they have done what they’ve done in such a close proximity. Plus, what makes it worse is that it becomes heightened because you’re stuck with them for four weeks.

‘And people are talking about you. It wasn’t pleasant.’

Of Harvey, she said, ‘An ex is an ex for a reason,’ but admitted of Liv that they have ‘a strong friendship’ and that this is ‘the first bump in the road’.

‘Mistakes happen,’ she said. ‘I don’t want to hold grudges – but I need time to get over things.’

Liv split from her long-term boyfriend Digby before heading to Argentina, which Habbs also weighed in on.

‘I think the worst thing you can do when you have split up from someone is jump into something. And to do it with my ex and be all “oh sorry – can we be best friends again” – is not okay.

‘I just needed time and space to reflect on all this because Harvey and I were massive parts of each other’s lives. I can be civil with him but I am still always going to be his ex, and he’s going to be mine.’

Despite admitting the trip was tainted, Habbs raved about Buenos Aires itself.

‘It’s amazing there. So much fun. Just a very busy nocturnal city that comes alive at night,’ she gushed. ‘It was intense there for a lot of reasons but it was really fun and cool. And I have definitely ticked it off my bucket list.’

Made In Chelsea: Buenos Aires airs at 9PM on Monday on E4.
