Lyon have confirmed that Martin Terrier has ‘regained consciousness’ after fainting during the side’s Ligue 1 clash with Toulouse.

Terrier’s team-mates were visibly upset as Lyon’s medical staff rushed on to treat the 22-year-old forward in the 20th minute at the Groupama Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Frenchman lay motionless on the turf before being stretchered off the field where he received further treatment.

Karl Toko Ekambi came on to replace Terrier for the remainder of the match.
