The management team behind hotels including Sir Andy Murray’s Cromlix has joined forces with a marketing firm to launch a consultancy service for the sector.
ICMI , the management team which also runs Inverlochy Castle, has teamed up with London-based hotel sales and marketing firm, JG Collection , to create Select Hotel Management Services, based in Edinburgh.
It will offer services to support hotel owners and operators around the UK to help ease a range of pressures affecting the sector, such as the continued period of economic and political uncertainty which is resulting in staff shortages.
To support its growth beyond the luxury market, ICMI has opened new headquarters in Edinburgh in addition to its satellite offices in London and the Highlands.
Norbert Lieder, managing director of ICMI, said: “The UK hotel industry is benefitting from the growth in tourism numbers and an increasingly mobile businesses population.
“However, many businesses across the industry are experiencing extra pressures on resources at a time when consumer expectations are greater than ever before.”
He added that new technologies designed to enhance customer experience often create more work for hotel managers, reducing the time they spend directly liaising with customers.
He said: “Select Hotel Management Services has been created to alleviate these pressures and give hotel operators the ability to bolster their teams with some of the best minds in the industry.”
ICMI was founded by the senior management of Inverlochy Castle Hotel over a decade ago to offer their combined experience in managing and marketing luxury hotels to other owners.
ICMI now manages a range of exclusive hotels including Cromlix near Dunblane, Greywalls, Isle of Eriska Resort and the Liming. JG Collection provides sales and marketing support to 25 hotels around the world.
