Luxury Edinburgh venue celebrates 10 years with stylish makeover

Fraser Suites Edinburgh has celebrated its 10th anniversary with a stylish makeover.

The serviced apartments in the heart of the capital have been given a full refurbishment including modern extras such as Chrome Casting TVs.

Original staff were among the guests invited to a red carpet event at the venue in Giles Street.

They got a first look at the new look restaurant, bar and lobby.

General manager Heather McNamee, who has been with Fraser Suites since it opened, said: “Fraser Suites Edinburgh is 10 years old this year, after opening its doors in May 2009. Guests, suppliers and staff came together to mark this milestone at Fraser Suites Edinburgh’s Anniversary Party.

“The event was not only to recognise the past 10 years, but to showcase the newly revamped rooms, lobby, bar and restaurant. Guests included the some of the original team who renovated the Grade B listed building into the luxury boutique hotel it is today.

“The theme for the event was then and now, looking back over the past 10 years but also toward the next 10. A video encapsulating the property and its transformation from the original renovation to how it looks now was on display.

“Our wonderful team gave showrounds to everyone who attended using the opportunity to introduce new clients to Fraser Suites Edinburgh and to present the new look to customers who have supported us over the years.

“As well as the soft refurbishment we highlighted new technology in the form of built in Chrome Casting Hospitality TVs , Zoom Rooms and Webinar live streaming.”

The event was presided over by chief operating Officer for Frasers Hospitality EMEA, Rebecca Hollants van Loocke who gave a speech on the proper’s history and future.

Everyone who attended was presented with gifts recognising partners such as L’Occitane, Caorunn Gin, Old Pulteney Whisky and Brodies of Edinburgh.
