The journey toward pay day has been akin to climbing Everest. The problem is, during the coldest, dreariest (seemingly endless?!) month of the year, little pick-me-ups and a spot of therapy – retail, of course – seems not only reasonable, but actively necessary.
We may be broke and living off potato smiles, but we won’t let that stop us, because where there’s a will, there’s a way. (And, The Way takes the form of Space NK’s rather smashing January sale, sorted by Price: low to high, alongside some thrifty know-how.)
The fact is, great beauty doesn’t have to be expensive. You just need to know where to spend wisely to get that smug pay-off of exceptional performance *and* change left over from a £20. I even have a couple of staples in my makeup bag that cost less than a fiver. Why? Because despite having numerous makeup options at my disposal (the very best perk of my job), these out-perform their high-end counterparts. You can even get your hands on luxe brands like The White Company, NARS and Bella Freud, at a very reasonable price, if you know where to look…
Allow me to share.
