Lush is finally releasing a Snow Fairy scented candle

Lush is loved for its packaging-free options and commitment to ending animal testing. But, most of all, the brand is famous for its iconic fragrances.

Snow Fairy is one of these, remaining a fan favourite since its launch in 2013. It’s a sweet-smelling gourmand featuring synthetic musk and notes of vanilla and cotton candy.

Loyal customers wait for the Christmas drop each year, when pink shower gels and bath bombs featuring the scent hit Lush stores. While the cosmetics options are plentiful, Snow Fairy home fragrance had previously alluded the brand… until now.

Product inventor for Lush, Gary Shears, shared an Instagram post this week teasing a Snow Fairy candle, sending followers into a sparkly spin.

Alongside a picture of a production line churning out candy-coloured candles, the caption of his post read: ‘A Christmas #Snowfairy treat. Coming for End November and December only.’

The candles aren’t yet on the Lush website, but Gary responded to comments to give us a clearer picture of what to expect.

According to the inventor, the candles will cost £12 each and burn for 12 hours. He added that they ‘will be in all UK stores and online in UK, Germany, France and a few other European markets’.

Like many Lush launches, the finer details are being kept under wraps, but multiple stores have confirmed via social media that Snow Fairy candles are definitely going ahead.

Official posts hinted that we may see them as early as the next few days, with Lush Spa Birmingham writing that they’d have it in stock for a pop-up shop they’re hosting this weekend.

If you’re on the hunt for one, your best bet is calling or messaging your local store ahead of time, as they should be able to tell you about specific availability.

Given Snow Fairy scented items have a global cult following (and often end up on resale sites priced much higher) you’ll want to prepare to get your hands on these limited edition candles.

We’ll update as we find out more.
