Luke Perry's heartbroken fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer breaks her silence

Luke Perry’s fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer has spoken for the first time since the actor’s tragic death .

The 52-year-old actor passed away last Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank, California.

Beverly Hills 90210 star Perry’s soon-to-be wife had some far not commented on his death.

But in a heartfelt statement, she said: ‘“I want to express my gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love and support.

“The countless, heartwarming stories of Luke’s generosity and kindness have been a great source of solace during this difficult time.”

“The past 11-and-a-half years with Luke were the happiest years of my life, and I am grateful to have had that time with him.

It’s a week since the star passed away

“I also want to thank his children, family, and friends for their love and support. We have found comfort in one another and in the knowledge that our lives were touched by an extraordinary man. He will be dearly missed.”

His son Jack has also spoken nearly a week on and wrote in a heartbreaking Instagram post: ‘He was a lot of things to a lot of people. To me, he was always Dad.

“He loved supported me in everything, and inspired me to be the best that I could possibly be. I’ve learned so much from you, and my heart is broken thinking about everything you won’t be here for.

“I’ll miss you every day that I walk this earth. I’ll do whatever I can to carry on your legacy and make you proud. I love you Dad.”

The former Beverly Hills, 90210 and Riverdale star was a “one off”

Luke was born in Ohio, but moved to Los Angeles as a teenager to begin his dream of becoming an actor.

It didn’t take long for him to get noticed and he soon landed roles in a video for Twister Sister and in US soaps Loving and Another World.

However, his big break came when he landed the part of dreamy Dylan McKay in Beverly Hill, 90210.

The role won him millions of adoring female fans and shot him to fame across the globe.

Just four years before his death, he had a terrifying health scare in 2015 after undergoing a colonoscophy that picked up pre-cancerous cells.
