Luis Suarez scored against his former team at the Camp Nou to hand Barcelona the initiative against Liverpool in their Champions League semi-final first leg.

Both sides found themselves with chances to open the scoring in an exciting opening half-hour, but it was Suarez who finally broke the deadlock.

Just moments after Naby Keita was forced off injured for the away side, eventually replaced by club captain Jordan Henderson, Jordi Alba spotted the run of Suarez from out wide on the left.

His low through-ball was inch-perfect and Suarez pounced, wrapping a low shot past Alisson and into the far corner of Liverpool’s goal.

It was the Uruguay international’s 25th goal of the season. You can watch the goal below.
