Lucy Mecklenburgh, 28, announced she is expecting her first baby with fiancé Ryan Thomas, 35, in a sweet Instagram post this evening. The former TOWIE star, who celebrated her birthday today, shared the happy news with her 1.5 million followers. Lucy was pictured cradling her blossoming baby bump in the snap as she sat next to the ex-Coronation Street actor in a restaurant. The couple were surrounded by silver and gold balloons in honour of the reality star’s birthday celebrations as they clutched onto an adorably tiny onesie.
Lucy showed off her pregnant figure in a tight-fitting floral printed red dress while smiling at the baby gift.
The brunette beauty captioned the snap: “Best birthday present I’ve ever had love you @ryanthomas84.”
The pair’s celebrity pals took to the comments section of the post to share their congratulatory messages with the couple.
Pregnant Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent wrote: “So exciting.”
Strictly Come Dancing contestant Catherine Tyldesley commented: “Oh my GOD!!!!! Congratulations guys!!!!! Amazing.”

Ryan is already dad to Scarlett, ten, from his previous relationship with Tina O’Brien.
The duo opened up about their plans to start a family during an interview with OK! Magazine last month.
Lucy told the publication: “At the start of our relationship, Ryan told me that he couldn’t see himself having any more children.
“It wasn’t something I pushed at the time because I wasn’t ready to have kids and I assumed that he would change his mind one day.
“It’s something we’ve since had to have an adult conversation about and we’ve agreed we will try for children when the time is right.”
Ryan added: “I definitely want children with Lucy but I don’t think it’ll happen for a few years.”
The TV personality shared the news on her Instagram page with a loved-up snap of them standing together on a balcony touching noses as Lucy flashed her ring at the camera.
“I said YES,” Lucy simply captioned the romantic photo.
Lucy and Ryan have been dating since 2017 after they met while taking part in Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls.
The couple have not yet set a date for their nuptials, as Lucy admitted during a Q&A on her Instagram story: “We have been super busy and are still in the engagement bubble! But I can’t wait to start planning.”
