Lucy Bronze nominated for Uefa Player of the Year award alongside Ada Hegerberg and Amandine Henry



England‘s World Cup talisman Lucy Bronze has been nominated for the 2018/19 Uefa Women’s Player of the Year award.

Bronze has been selected alongside Olympique Lyonnais teammates Ada Hegerberg and Amandine Henry.

The 27-year-old full-back becomes England’s first representative to make the final shortlist of three.

All three players featured in the 4-1 Champions League win over Barcelona where Ballon D’Or winner Hegerberg – who won the Uefa award in 2016 – scored a hat-trick.

Previous winners of the award are Nadine Angerer (2013), Nadine Kessler (2014), Célia Šašić (2015), Hegerberg (2016), Lieke Martens (2017) and Pernille Harder (2018).
