Lucifer season 5 theories: Lucifer to reveal true identity to Ella in final series

Production of the fifth season of Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) is well underway. There are fears the dangers of the spreading coronavirus could halt the production of major shows, but so far fans are still expecting the new season to arrive on Netflix in 2020.

In June of last year, Netflix renewed the fantasy thriller for a fifth season of another ten episodes.

The length was then upped to sixteen total instalments for the new season, and fans have been eagerly awaiting new adventures for the fallen angel.

When viewers last left the series, the explosive finale revealed the prophecy could indeed be true, with Chloe Decker (Lauren German) admitting her love for the Satanic night club owner.

Lucifer then descended once again to the underworld and reclaimed his hellish throne.

The original poster said they wanted: “More Lucifer and Ella scenes (love that “big brother” kind of relationship he has with her).”

Ella (Aimee Garcia) was introduced in the second season as the Los Angeles Police Department’s top forensic scientist.

Despite her scientific background, Ella is also a practicing Christian, and asks Lucifer to attend church with her as a favour.

She revealed that she believes the devil’s bad reputation is undeserved, leading Lucifer Morningstar himself to develop a fondness for her.

Another fan added: “Lucifer revealing his identity to Ella, they make such a good brother and sister duo.”

If this happens in season five, Ella would join the small group of humans who know about Lucifer’s true identity.

Even then, some of those individuals, such as Marcus Pierce/Cain (Tom Welling) are somewhat discounted after its revealed they were immortals in disguise.

In addition to Chloe, Lucifer’s therapist Linda Martine (Rachael Harris), who used to give him free sessions in exchange for sleeping with him, also knows the truth behind his human disguise.

With rumours of a sixth season abound, the producers of Lucifer may be considering holding off major reveals like this until the next season.

Devoted viewers are currently hoping the spread of COVID-19 won’t lead to staggered release dates of their favourite Netflix series, such as Lucifer.

It was recently announced that the Netflix office in LA is shutting down, though there has been no word yet on streaming series that are currently filming.

Lucifer season 4 is currently available to stream on Netflix.
