Lucifer season 5 spoilers: Chloe Decker prophecy to be explored more after boss hint?

Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) was left in a pretty dire situation at the end of season four.

After finally defeating all the demons who were attempting to take over Los Angeles because of his absence from Hell, the devil decided it would be best to retake his throne in the underworld.

Lucifer had been absent for some time during his stay on Earth, and his return will certainly solve the inherent demon problem – however he has now left Chloe Decker (Lauren German) alone on Earth after they had just rekindled their love.

Season five will no doubt see Chloe and co either venturing into Hell, or working out a way to summon the devil once again.

And recently showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson spoke about the upcoming storylines and twists in an Instagram Q&A.

One diligent fan asked the duo about the prophecy which entailed God placing Chloe in Lucifer’s past.

To which Ildy responded they never really “explained” the prophecy – teasing that there is much more to come from it in the future.

One aspect of the prophecy read Lucifer would release some sort of evil into the world – but Ildy explained the common misconception.

She added the prophecy tells the “evil being released is evil being released from Lucifer.”

Could this perhaps result in Lucifer losing all of his powers and finally becoming a mortal all in the name of love?

Lucifer star Tom has always maintained Lucifer and Chloe would only get together in the endgame of the show.

And after some fans in the Q&A asked about their relationship, and whether they would get together, Tom eventually blurted out: “Of course they will!”

Therefore, Lucifer may indeed finally get his happy ending with Chloe – but will it be at the cost of his immortality?

Either way, it was recently revealed fans would be seeing a lot more of Lucifer in the coming episodes, as the final season will feature some more steamy scenes.

Ildy recently chatted with some fans on Twitter about the production of season five, to which she responded to the question: “@Ildymojo when do you guys start writing for s5?”

She answered: “We get back in the office at the beginning of July!! #StupidExcited #Lucifer #LuciferSeason5.”

Another fan inquired: “Hey @Ildymojo we really loved #luciferseason4 and Deckerstar was amazing.

“We just missed to see more intimate moments between then, like a sex scene. Is there any chances for this to happen on season 5?”

Ildy teased: “Dan only knows 😉 #Lucifer #Luciferseason5.”

Lucifer season 4 is available to stream on Netflix now.
