Love Island’s Aftersun was a tad awkward last night as Yewande Biala came face-to-face with Arabella Chi for the first time since being dumped from the villa.
To make matters perhaps a little worse though, Yewande revealed to presenter Caroline Flack that she’s not really interested in becoming friends with Arabella after they competed to win Danny Williams’ affections.
‘No I haven’t spoken to Arabella,’ the scientist began.
‘She’s a lovely girl and I didn’t really get to know her in the villa ‘cus it’s really awkward getting to know someone who’s trying to steal your man.
‘You don’t really get to know each other on a personal level so I didn’t get to know her in the villa.’
Yewande continued: ‘Now that we’re out we don’t really have that established friendship.
‘I feel like it wouldn’t really be genuine if we had that friendship, it would be really forced.’
Arabella, Yewande and fellow dumped islander Tom Walker then shared the stage together for a joint interview and of course it was filled to the brim with toe-curling moments.
One notably awkward scene was when Caroline showed the studio audience the moment Arabella and Danny kissed in the villa not long after Yewande’s exited on Monday’s episode.
‘Yewanade how did it feel watching that back?’ Caroline asked looking at Yewande who was now sitting in the audience.
After mummers from the audience, Arabella answered nervously: ‘Probably an hour’.
Yewande replied dramatically: ‘Well, I mean ….’
Love Island Aftersun airs Sundays at 10pm on ITV2.
