Love Island’s Yewande Biala stayed silent when asked if she would ‘form a friendship’ with rival Arabella Chi during their first joint appearance on Aftersun.

The pair clashed over Danny Williams while they were both in the villa and were both evicted from the ITV2 dating show at different points this week, meaning that their televised exit interviews were both held on Sunday night.

We were ready for the drama and had our popcorn prepped, and as expected there was more than enough awkward moments for us to chew over.

After Yewande sat through her interview alone, presenter Caroline Flack invited Tom Walker – who was dumped the same day as Arabella – to have a joint chat with Yewande’s rival on the stage.

Caroline then went on to show the studio audience the moment Arabella and Danny kissed in the villa not long after Yewande’s exited on Monday’s episode.

‘Yewanade how did it feel watching that back?’ Caroline asked looking at Yewande who was now sitting in the audience.

‘It’s weird isn’t it?’ she said after an awkward silence and long laugh. ‘It’s just, how long was it when I left?’

After mummers from the audience, Arabella answered nervously: ‘Probably an hour’.

Yewande replied dramatically: ‘Well, I mean ….’

Later on in the episode, Yewande and Arabella were seated together on the sofa alongside the rest of the show’s panel when a question came in from a fan at home.

The question read: ‘Now that you are out of the villa, do the two of you think you will form a friendship?’

After another moment of silence, Arabella chose to answer first.

The model said: ‘I think it is so hard, our circumstances are so hard. Like in the real world you will never be friends for going with the same guy, but we are obviously going to have to be civil.

‘I have no hard feelings towards you. I did the right thing by coming to speak to you. If anything it should have been Danny. He is the middle of this.’

Yewande did not answer and viewers at home appeared to absolutely love Yewande’s ‘energy’ and the decision to stay silent.

One viewer took to Twitter and said: ‘Yewande with the energy, loveeee it #Loveisland’.

‘Mannn we defo didn’t get to see all of Yewande, she has this energy about her I love #LoveIsland,’ added another.

However, some fans slammed Yewande’s reaction to feeling betrayed by both Danny and Arabella.

‘Yewande continuing to be so bitter and jealous. Embarrassing herself and proving why Danny was right to dump her,’ tweeted another.

Commenting on the tension, a social media user said: ‘Bit awkward on After Sun between Yewande & Arabella oops.’

Before going on Aftersun Arabella made it clear she does not have any beef with Yewande – even though she is the one who stole her man from her.

Telling her Instagram followers in a Q&A: ‘There are no hard feelings between Yewande and myself.

‘It was just a difficult situation for us both to be inside the villa.’

Yewande hasn’t uttered Arabella’s name just yet though so it’ll be interesting to see whether or not she feels the same way.

Love Island returns at 9 pm on ITV2 tomorrow night.
