Love Island’s Theo Campbell loses sight in his right eye after horror accident in Ibiza

Love Island’s Theo Campbell has lost vision in his right eye after an accident involving a champagne cork.

The reality star, 28, revealed the horror incident took place while he was on holiday in Ibiza.

Campbell, who was a contestant on the 2017 series of the show, posted an image of himself in a hospital bed with a bandage over his eye and the caption, “The new Fetty Wap”.

His girlfriend, Kaz Crossley, who was a finalist on the 2018 series with ex boyfriend Josh Denzel, posted a video of her kissing him after flying out to be by his bedside.

Writing about the horror incident on Instagram, Campbell said: “Basically two eye surgeries later after a really unfortunate accident, I’ve lost all vision in my right eye as it got split in half.

“Who would have thought a champagne cork would be the end of me. But I still have one eye left, looking at the bright side of things.

“If anyone knows where sells cool eye patches let me know.

He added: “Thanks for all the messages and support I’ve got over the last couple days they’re all very much appreciated.”

Referring to Crossley, 25, he said: “Thanks for flying out to look after me as well babe.”

Georgia Harrison, who also starred in the 2017 series with Campbell, posted her support for the athlete, who previously ran for England.

The 24-year-old wrote on her Instagram page: “Love them so much words couldn’t even describe. Get well soon [Theo] and [Kaz] you are the most amazing girlfriend. Thank god for you.”

Earlier this summer, the pair confirmed their romance after months of fevered speculation.

Crossley announced she and presenter Denzel, 28, had broken up in an Instagram post in January.
