Love Island’s Paige Turley was reduced to tears when Shaughna Phillips was dumped from the villa and almost had us crying too.

Shaughna was eliminated in scenes that aired tonight as Luke Mabbott revealed he’d chosen to recouple with Demi Jones, leaving 24-year-old constant Paige in bits.

‘You don’t realise how attached you get to people in here,’ she sobbed in the Beach Hut. ‘I started my journey with Shaughna and she was just a big a part of my journey than Fin is, so to lose her… it’s not nice.’

The pair then shared an emotional heart-to-heart on the balcony.

‘This is hard,’ Shaughna told Paige. ‘I found someone that I love. No, I did, I did and I cant wait to see you again.’

‘I’m just gutted you won’t be here,’ Paige replied, to which Shaughna wept: ‘I’m going to miss you so much, I really am.’

Shaughna’s departure had a big impact on the rest of the islanders too, with Siannise Fudge admitting: ‘I’m very sad to see her go, I’m going to miss her walking around strutting her stuff. She’ll be missed so so much.’

‘Tonight has been really hard for me,’ Luke M said of his decision. ‘I mean, it’s been hard on everyone to be fair. I just went with my gut really, and what I felt was right.’

As Shaughna left, she told the cameras: ‘My Love Island experience has been a rollercoaster, a traffic jam, but one I’ve absolutely loved every minute of. I can’t believe it’s over.’

Love Island continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2.
