Ovie Soko’s friendship with Amber Gill on Love Island has filled our hearts with more joy than we ever thought possible.

And the basketball player made us love him even more when he gave a sweet shout-out to the beauty therapist, 21, during his speech to India Reynolds.

The 28-year-old referred to Amber as his ‘little sister’, while discussing the adorable bond they formed on the show.

He said: ‘I came into this Love Island villa looking for the opportunity to find someone special.

‘I arrived four weeks ago in Casa Amor, I met a fiery girl that backed me from day one, and grew on me as a little sister.’

Our hearts! If only the show had been called Friendship Island, eh?

Fans were equally bowled over by the cuteness and flooded Twitter with their own declarations of love for Ovie and Amber.

‘I love Ovie. I love Ovie’s love for Amber. This is the greatest friendship ever,’ one viewer gushed.

Another added: ‘I love how Ovie references Amber when he talks about what he’s gained from the villa.’

A third user penned: ‘I can’t wait to watch Amber and Ovie being best friends for life. I am not worthy.’

Ovie and Amber have undoubtedly had the cutest friendship of Love Island this year, with the duo often dishing out killer advice to each other as well as cracking up pretty much all the time.

They were coupled up as friends when Amber’s ex Michael Griffiths was with Joanna Chimonides, and had each other’s backs – so much so that Ovie clashed with the other guys over Amber’s treatment in the villa.

The athlete has turned into a national treasure thanks to his chill demeanour, quirky dance moves and penchant for bucket hats.

In fact, Ovie, who came third with India in the final, is so popular he’s even sparked petitions for him to win Love Island on his own.
