Olivia Attwood is the latest star in talks to replace Caroline Flack on spin-off Love Island: Aftersun, according to reports.

Caroline Flack, who has fronted both the main show and the sister chat show, announced she was leaving the show for the Winter Love Island series after being arrested for assault against boyfriend Lewis Burton.

As a result, the team are now looking for a replacement with just weeks before the show is due to start – and Olivia could be what’s needed for the spin-off show.

‘Olivia starred on Love Island in 2017 – she knows exactly what the Islanders will be going through,’ a source told MailOnline.

‘The team at ITV have a great working relationship with her and feel she’ll bring her experience as a former islander to the show, plus the fact they love she always speaks her mind.’

Olivia has already had a hell of a 2019 after celebrating her engagement with footballer Bradley Dack.

While the legal proceedings are still ongoing, Caroline released a statement saying she would no longer take part on Love Island.

However, the door has remained open for her potential return in future series, with ITV stating they’re ‘remaining in contact’ with her.

In the meantime, it’s been rumoured that narrator Iain Stirling’s girlfriend Laura Whitmore could be filling in Caroline’s spot on the main show.

Laura previously hosted the first version of a Winter Love Island, Survival Of The Fittest, which was axed after only one season.

Despite the assault charge, Caroline’s boyfriend Lewis Burton has said he’s standing by her, and that she ‘doesn’t deserve’ the backlash she’s receiving.

Caroline is due to appear in court on 23 December over the charge, labelled assault by beating.

The incident occurred on 13 December at her Islington home, after a ‘private domestic incident’.

Winter Love Island starts January 2020 in ITV2.
