Love Island’s Malin Andersson contacts police over ‘sick’ acid attack threats

Love Island star Malin Andersson has said she is seeking help from the police after receiving acid attack threats online.

The reality TV star, who found fame on the second series of the ITV2 dating show in 2016, shared her scary ordeal on social media as it has been claimed she fled her home and missed a service for her late daughter.

Describing the incident, the 27-year-old that explained she had been working with police to find out who sent the message and told fans: “People don’t realise what these kind of threats do to people.”

“Sick in the head,” she wrote, while sharing a screenshot of the direct message she had received on Instagram, from a user whose account has since been deleted.

It read: “I’ve seen you about 3times in mk and have not decided what I will do to you. you will not get away with all the s*** you’ve done acid sounds good little b****.” [sic]

The star added in a second post: “I couldn’t stay quiet for this one. Me and the police are going to find out who this is. I have no words.”

A source told The Sun that Andersson has left her home and skipped a service where she was supposed to be lighting a candle for her daughter Consy – who died earlier this year – because she feared the potential perpetrator would be in the area.

The insider told the publication: “Malin has been really shook up by the threats. She’s had the police to her house and has called in security to look after her.

“She’s not been back to the house since… it’s devastating and really the last thing she needs.”

The social media influencer’s four-week-old daughter Consy tragically passed away in January.

She recently blasted sick trolls who claimed her daughter was alive by making an account for her late daughter.

The horrific account, now deleted, had a biography that read: “Miss me grandma x I’m baby consy my mother is @missmalinsara x Sidney / Jack consy are dead alive.”

An outraged Andersson shared a screenshot of the page, urging her followers to report the account.

She wrote: “Wtf this is sick???? Please report. What the actual hell.”

She later thanked her supporters for reporting the profile, confirming it had been removed from the site.

Consy was born seven weeks premature on December 23, and was cared for at Great Ormond Street Hospital after suffering from “complications.”

She was named after Andersson’s mother, who died in 2017.
