Love Island was as dramatic as ever tonight as Maura Higgins confronted Danny over his very crude remarks to her in last night’s show.

The two came to blows just minutes before they were set to spend the night together in the hideaway.

Thankfully, that managed to sort things out tonight with the help of a friendly chat today, and of course lots of groveling from Danny.

After that, viewers were dealt a second blow as Yewande was given the boot during shock recouping which saw her partner Danny chose to pair up with newbie, Arabella.

But amidst all the drama, it didn’t go amiss that Lucie delivered a shock announcement.

Speaking to Anton Danyluk in the garden, the bombshell surfer babe spoke openly about her former partner Joe Garrett.

Joe was given the boot last week alongside newbie Elma Pazar in a shock eviction.

As the Scotsman quizzed her over her current single status, he asked: “Are you open to finding someone else?”

He then implored: “If you’re just here to float, that’s pointless, you may as well go home to Joe.”

Lucie replied: “I agree.

“Joe’s a city party boy and I’m the complete opposite. But I liked him and he liked me.

“But imagine if I left here and a surfer boy walked in.

“I would be open to getting to know him.”

She added: “I feel guilty as hell saying that because I do like Joe but this is what I’ve come here for.”

The news will no doubt come as a shock to Joe after he admitted to Caroline Flack last night on Love Island: Aftersun that he is waiting for Lucie to leave the villa so they can reunite.

Joe also confessed that he’s even been in touch with Lucie’s parents.

The dumped islander added: “I’d love to go back on (the show). I’d love to get the opportunity to go back in and see her.”
