Yet Jameela Jamil was accused of hypocrisy by Kady McDermott in a row over diversity on Love Island.
There has been much debate over the inclusivity of the ITVBe show, with fans calling on producers to cast Islanders of different races and sizes.
Hitting out: Kady McDermott accused Jameela Jamil of hypocrisy after the actress blasted Love Island for it’s lack of diversity and referred to one of the ‘plus size’ contestants
Wading into the debate, Jameela, 33, tweeted pictures of one of this year’s contestants, Anna Vakili, with the caption: ‘The producers of Love Island think this slim woman counts as their new token ‘plus size’ contestant? Are they drunk?’
Whilst The Good Place actress’ comments struck a chord with her 831,000 Twitter followers, former Islander Katy took umbrage with the remarks.
Kady, 23, who appeared on series two of the show, shared the tweet, adding: ‘Who even said she was the plus size contestant?
‘Maybe we shouldn’t be labelling women as anything and just letting them be who they are. Skinny/slim/curvy/obese who cares.’

She added: ‘People do realise the producers are going to be dropping AT LEAST 15 bombshells during the series. I’m sure one will satisfy as everyone’s “plus size” criteria.’
Responding to a comment that claimed it was ‘unfair to single out’ Anna as she has a ‘normal body’, Kady responded: ‘Couldn’t agree more.
‘She is FAR from a “plus size” but even if she was she shouldn’t be pointed out likes she’s different. People are people’.
In response to Kady’s comments, Jameela mused: ‘Where do I even begin with this?’

Pharmacist Anna, 28, is among this year’s line-up of contestants and described herself as being ‘different to anyone who has been on the show before’, in her entrance interview.
She continued: ‘I have the whole glam look. I’m fun but at the same time I feel like I have more to me than that. I studied hard and I’ve got my masters. I’m a pharmacist and I have a Middle Eastern background.’
Since the line-up was revealed on Monday – showing off the seven male and five female singletons who will be looking for love this summer – there has been a fan backlash online.

This comes amid claims Love Island bosses are reportedly looking to recruit plus-sized model Jada Sezer for this year’s line-up in a bid to promote diversity on the show.
The 30-year-old model, who soared to prominence last year when she ran the London Marathon in her underwear, is said to be on the list of hopefuls for producers to provide diversity to the show amid previous criticism.
Insiders told Mirror: ‘Previous years have been criticised for a lack of diversity among contestants. This year producers are determined to have more variation… They want all shapes and sizes taking part – not just a stream of identikit men and women.’

Love Island has been shrouded in controversy of late, following the suicide of former contestants Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis.
As well as criticism for the after-care provided on the show, fans have previously hit out at the lack of diversity on the show in regard to body image.
Jada, who hosts a podcast promoting body confidence, is said to be the perfect candidate for the show to help change-up the looks on the show.

The insider continued: ‘Given the nature of the show, it’s important the contestants feel body confident as they spend so much time wearing skimpy clothes or bikinis as they sunbathe and hang out by the pool.
‘Jada would be a perfect choice because she is passionate about body positivity – and even appeared on Good Morning Britain in her underwear before running the marathon…
‘Producers have been talking at length with her and are hopeful they might feature her later in the series.’
MailOnline has contacted representatives for Jada for comment.

The bid for diversity comes after ITV revealed key changes to their duty of care processes including enhanced psychological support and social and financial training following reality star deaths.
TV have said that they have evolved their duty of care processes to protect contestants going forward ahead of the show’s launch on June 3.
In a statement, they wrote: ‘The production team have continued to evolve their processes with each series, as the show’s popularity has risen and the social and media attention on Islanders has increased.
‘The key changes this year are – enhanced psychological support, more detailed conversations with potential Islanders regarding the impact of participation on the show, bespoke training for all Islanders on social media and financial management and a proactive aftercare package which extends our support to all Islanders following their participation.’
