Love Island star India Reynolds has spoken out for the first time since the news broke of her split from Ovie Soko.

It was reported that the TV stars, who struck up a romance on the ITV2 dating series this summer, had ended their relationship after almost three months due to conflicting schedules.

Neither have publicly confirmed the split but India, 28, appears to have hinted at the break-up in one of her latest Instagram stories.

Alluding to negative comments she’s received since the split, India said hours after the reports broke: ‘It’s free to be kind… Think before you type… Thank you x.’

On Saturday, an insider told the MailOnline that the reality stars decided to ‘amicably’ go their separate ways after struggling to find time to see each other.

Ovie’s fame has skyrocketed since leaving the Love Island villa with the basketball player landed an ASOS deal while also bagging a spot on Sky Sports as an NBA analyst. Meanwhile India has been jet-setting all around Europe for lingerie modelling shoots.

The couple’s romance was hit by cheating rumours last month when India was said to have attended her ex-boyfriend Kieran Gibbs’ birthday party.

However, the model vehemently denied the claims and Ovie said their relationship was still going strong.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk at the time, the basketball player said: ‘Me and India are really good. You know, everything is good, I really can’t complain…

‘India’s great man, she’s an absolute sweetheart. We’re absolutely fine, we’re happy.

‘We’re moving and taking positive steps and trying as much as possible to just mind our business and get on with our relationship. But India’s she’s really good.’

He added of the cheating rumours: ‘It’s been really tough for her just because I don’t think it’s ever nice to say mean things to anyone, regardless of if you think it’s in defence of someone.

‘And a lot of time comments come from a place of care, but we are all people at the end of the day, we’re all humans…

‘But India’s great.’
