Love Island’s Dr Alex George finds himself new home as he fights coronavirus pandemic on the frontline

Dr Alex George has found himself a new home while he continues to fight against coronavirus on the NHS frontline.

The former Love Island star has been keeping fans updated as he and his colleagues help those who have contracted Covid-19 during the outbreak, and in the midst of the madness going on in the world, he has found himself a new place to live – although he did admit it was ‘a stress’ to find somewhere.

Taking to Instagram, Alex shared a picture of him beaming happily outside of his fancy-looking new place, as he wrote: ‘I finally have a home!!

‘Finding somewhere to live amongst the craziness of coivd-19 has been a stress to say the least.

‘Thank you to so many of you who reached out to help, it means SO much to me.’

Alex later shared a video to his YouTube channel, as he opted to give his followers a tour around the new home.

Before he showed his viewers around, he explained this his previous flat, which he had renovated before he moved in to his current place, had been sold.

‘So what happened then, was that I sold the place [his previous flat] in Clapham, this whole coronavirus situation kicked off, and I stayed and have been staying in London,’ he said to the camera.

‘The problem was, the tenancy on the place came to an end, which meant that I needed to move out.’

He later explained that a few weeks ago, he had posted to his Instagram story asking if there was anyone in London who was renting short-term, and he received thousands of responses.

One person later messaged Alex asking if he wanted to rent a particular place, which is the very home he has now moved into.

‘I am so so grateful to them, I just want to say a massive thank you, I am incredibly grateful,’ he then said.

The doctor is continuing to work as hard as ever on the frontline – and he previously revealed that his colleagues had passed away from coronavirus, while also admitting his fears about catching the illness himself.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, he said: ‘I think anyone’s who’s not concerned about catching coronavirus is not being completely open. Of course we’re concerned.

‘Some of my colleagues have passed away… just because you’re young, it itsn’t guaranteed that you’re going to have the mild illness.

‘We’re going to lose more colleagues which is frightening. We know we’ve got a job to do.. and we’re doing our best.’

Today, the Department of Health confirmed another 763 people have died in UK hospitals after contracting coronavirus, taking the death toll to 18,100.

The jump in deaths is another huge daily increase, following a rise of 828 yesterday.
