LOVE Island star Curtis Pritchard admitted he is struggling to make time for girlfriend Maura Higgins and that he can’t take her on holiday until next year.
Their busy schedules appear to be keeping them apart – something that’s only gotten worse with 28-year-old Maura signing up to Dancing On Ice.
Meanwhile, Curtis, 23, has dancing commitments alongside his brother, Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ Pritchard.
Not only does this mean the love birds can’t spend much time together, he also can’t take Maura on holiday until July next year.
Speaking to The Sun Online, the Love Island hunk said: “We would love to go on holiday together but it’s not happening.
“Maura has Dancing On Ice and hopefully she makes it to the final. And then I’m working solidly up until July.
“I’ve got a pantomime at the end of the year, then I’m on AJ’s tour and I’ve got the Greatest Dancer. I’m also working on another show too. I love to work.”
There is some consolation in Maura spending all this time on her Dancing On Ice training, as having a dancer boyfriend is coming in useful for her.
He added: “I’ll be teaching Maura from the waist up but from the waist downwards, that’s up to her coaches.
“She’s very bruised and aching, that’s how she’s feeling.
“She’s not been partnered up and I don’t know how much training she’s doing at the moment but I think they have started doing some work on the ice.”
The couple have been together since meeting on the ITV reality show in the summer.
They appeared to take things very slowly compared to their Love Island peers, having only just made their relationship official this month.
Curtis asked while they were on a romantic trip away.
Maura told OK! Magazine: “He asked and I said yes obviously.
“He took me away for a weekend break, and he asked me out over dinner in London the next day.”
Revealing why he took his time, Curtis added: “I want something that’s going to last forever. There’s no point in rushing things. We’ve only known each other for a short amount of time.”
