Love Island’s Amber Gill all smiles as she reunites with Michael Griffiths days after win

Love Island’s Amber Gill had a rollercoaster time of it in the villa, thanks largely to Michael Griffiths.

Y’know, when the firefighter savagely dumped her for Joanna Chimonides, branded her ‘chaldish’ for expressing her opinion on the situation, and then deciding he liked her again the second Joanna left.

But it seems it’s water under the bridge for the 21-year-old – who went on to win the show with Greg O’Shea.

Well, £50,000 will do that for you.

She was all smiles as she reunited with her former flame, to celebrate pal Yewande Biala’s birthday in London, alongside her beau and a selection of their co-stars.

Yewande, who was dumped from the Island as Danny Williams coupled up with Arabella Chi, was thrilled to be back with her pals as she gave followers a glimpse into the celebrations.

After cuddling up to the winning couple, the scientist panned the camera across to show Michael joining in the festivities, with Anton Danyluk and Joe Garratt.

Thanks for the invite, hun.

This is thought to be the first time Amber and Michael have come face-to-face since the 27-year-old left Love Island, and went straight over to Joanna.

The on-off pair seem to have picked up right where they left off, as they were spotted kissing soon after.

Despite the fact he previously told Amber he didn’t feel anything for her, that is….

And Amber understandably found the whole thing ‘weird’, considering how she left things with him.

‘Yeah, I am surprised,’ she told Metro.co.uk after her win.

‘To be fair I didn’t see much of their relationship because I avoided watching it and how they were but Michael definitely tried to get back with me so that’s a bit weird.’

Amber was praised for ignoring Michael and instead picking Greg in the most epic recoupling moment in Love Island history.

And it seems she chose wisely, as they ended up smashing the final with a whopping 48.82 per cent of the vote, storming way past Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury in second place with 25.56 per cent.

Love Island Aftersun reunion airs on Sunday, at 9pm, on ITV2.
