Love Island: What happened on Love Island last night?

ITV2 series Love Island saw the contestants put through a tough time last week as Casa Amor tested the loyalties of the established couples. Couples were torn apart as heads were turned and new arrivals entered the villa. With the dust starting to settling in the villa, tensions were still running high among some of the Islanders.

Maura made a move on Curtis

Maura Higgins recently admitted her feelings for Curtis Pritchard to Lucie Donlan, who was left stunned by the revelation.

However, Maura took things a step further in last night’s (Sunday, July 7) episode after she approached Curtis and asked him to give her a dancing lesson.

WHAT DOES DEAD TING MEAN?

The newly single Curtis obliged Maura as the pair worked their way through the Cha-cha while a downcast Amy Hart could only watch on.

“I think I fancy him even more after today,” Maura told Lucie as she decided she was going to speak to Curtis about how she felt.

Maura also decided to cool things off with Marvin Brooks, whom she’d partnered up with and told him she wasn’t feeling a romantic connection.

He hit back telling Maura she’d been “cold” with him and it wasn’t long before the two called it quits.

WHEN WILL THE NEXT RECOUPLING BE?

Anna chose between Ovie and Jordan

Anna Vakili has been in tricky spot ever since she came back from Casa Amor with Ovie Soko after he caught her eye.

Jordan Hames, who stayed loyal to her, has been trying to win Anna back and it looked like he succeeded last night.

Ovie and Anna had a chat during which she admitted: “I do want to give this a chance and I am a slow burner.

“I like you from what I have seen. But you’re pushing me away, whereas Jordan is doing the complete opposite.”

WHERE IS LOVE ISLAND FILMED?

When Ovie tried to hit back, Anna revealed she’d overheard him mention to Amber Gill he was hoping to pursue a romantic connection with Joanna Chimonides.

As they continued to disagree, Ovie walked away and told Anna: “The conversation is done.”

With the discussion over, Anna’s decision was made and it wasn’t long before she kissed Jordan and told him she wanted to be with him.

Ovie is now likely to be turning his attention to Joanna after his bust-up with Anna.

Joanna confronted Michael over Amber

Joanna and Michael Griffiths also seemed to be on the rocks after she confronted him about his feelings for Amber.

The talk came after Molly-Mae Hague told Joanna that Michael had left the door open with Amber rather than calling things off as she’d been led to believe.

“Do you still have feelings for her?” Joanna asked Michael.

WHO HAS PREVIOUSLY WON LOVE ISLAND?

He responded, telling her: “No. Not like that. As a friend, yes I do because I don’t want to see her hurt.

“I don’t even speak to the girl. I walk past and ask if she is alright.”

However, later on in the villa we saw Amber confiding to some of the girls about her uncertainty over Michael.

Joanna decided to confront Amber and Michael together and put the whole thing to bed once and for all.

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 at 9pm
