LOVE Island has been hit by more fix claims after Anna and Jordan were saved from the axe two weeks running due to a rule change.
Fans of the ITV2 show aren’t happy that producers allowed the islanders to decide who got dumped for the past two evictions, rather than letting the public vote dictate the outcome.
Anna Vikili and Jordan Hames have been in the bottom three couples for the last two dumpings but have been saved because, on each occasion, the power has been handed to their fellow contestants to chose who goes.
As a result, Joanna Chimonides left last week, while Michael and Francesca were sent packing on last night’s show.
But many viewers think it would have been Anna and Jordan getting the boot if it had been based purely on viewer votes, leading to conspiracy theories that producers were desperate for the pair to make it the final.
Vented one fan on twitter: “Total FIX. NOT even the first time Anna & Jordan have been in the bottom 2, if it was down to the Public vote would Michael & Francesca still be the one’s to leave? Feel so sorry for Francesca, she NEVER really got a proper chance to find that special connection.”
Added another: “This is doing my head in. Obviously everyone wants Anna to go! Why ask the public to vote when the islanders are getting the final say? If she makes it to the final then its clearly a fix. No one likes the bitch.”
A third tweeted: “What’s the point of voting if it’s down to the islanders at the end of ur vote kmt!! Feel like it’s fix kmt #LoveIsland“
Fumed a fourth: “Dumping was a fix becos producers know public would have voted out Anna and Jordan that’s why they left it to the islanders becos they knew they wouldn’t vote them out. Unfortunately Jordan is tied to Anna poor guy so… #AnnaandJordanout#”
Last night’s episode saw Jordan ask Anna to be his girlfriend after giving her a romantic tour of their hook up spots in the villa.
Once Anna agreed to make things official, the rest of the islanders went wild, with everyone jumping into the pool.
As well as wanting to keep Anna and Jordan safe so the rest of their relationship can play out in the final week, fans also reckon producers wanted to ensure Michael got the boot last night so he and Joanna would have to have an awkward reunion of spin off show Aftersun.
One viewer posted: “I reckon tonights dumping was a FIX!! joanna AND michael both on #aftersun tonight…defo wanted some drama #loveisland”
This isn’t the first time the show has been accused of fixing things to seemingly ensure the survival of certain Islanders.
Earlier this month, frustrated fans let rip on social media after another voting twist meant that Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard were exempt from being sent packing.
The pair were both exempt from the vote on July 12 because at the time they were both coupled up with new arrivals Chris Taylor and Francesca Allen, who themselves had immunity.
One fan said: “I can’t believe @LoveIsland is doing its best to keep Curtis, Maura and Francesca in da villa.”
Another chirped in: “So new islander Chris nearly got dumped at recoupling but all of a sudden along with Francesca they’re exempt bcus they’re a new islander…hmmm Yh I’ll wait @LoveIsland to explain that one.”
