ITV has finally confirmed the start date of Love Island.
Summer is officially here as the villa opens its doors to a string of sizzling singletons on June 3.
In a suitably sexy announcement with host Caroline Flack the channel introduced this years hashtag – Day Dot Is Coming.
It is not known what time the first show will kick off but the romance usually gets underway at 9pm.
Reality show bosses are determined to keep the profitable show on air – despite ITV axing reality talk show Jeremy Kyle over guest suicide.
There was pressure from certain viewers for Love Island to follow suit after the deaths of Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis.
This year’s announcement is made by Caroline pulling down her rose tinted sunglasses – unlike last year, she is not wearing an engagement ring.
It comes as Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Pritchard’s younger brother Curtis has reportedly signed up for Love Island.
The pro dancer, 23, is believed to fly out to the villa in Majorca next month.
This comes after Curtis hit the headlines with brother AJ back in December after a group of thugs attacked them in a Cheshire nightclub.
A source told The Sun: “His body is ideal for being in swimwear all day, plus he’s a lovely bloke with a great sense of humour so is sure to be a hit with the ladies.”
Curtis was brutally battered outside a nightclub five months ago by eight thugs after saving brother AJ.
