Love Island stars before surgery uncovered – and they're totally unrecognisable

With their fake tans, dazzling white teeth and gym-honed bodies, the Love Island lot are the hottest kids on the block.

But not every Islander sticks with what their mama gave them, with certain stars hitting the surgeon’s chair to achieve their dream look.

From boob jobs, nose ops and veneers to botox and ‘butt lifts’, some already gorgeous contestants have had more help than others in the looks department.

Here, Mirror Online reveals who has had what done and what they looked like before…

Shaughna Phillips

Shaughna has been open about her love of surgery, admitting she’s had her boobs uplifted and her laughter lines filled.

“I’ve been having lips done for a few years now so that wasn’t Love Island orientated,” the 25-year-old told Glamour magazine.

“I had my boobs uplifted – not implants, but had them shoved up – and that was due to the weight loss. My mum had better boobs than me and she’s had two kids! I had such big boobs before that it was literally like nothing.

“Then I suppose other than that I’ve had a few tweaks. I’ve had my laughter lines filled, but I feel that’s a bit of a compliment because it means you laugh a lot.”

Jess and Eve Gale

The identical twins shocked fans when a picture emerged of them pre-reality TV.

With their auburn hair and barely-there makeup, the sisters rocked a much more natural look than their present platinum incarnation.

And experts at London’s Viva Skin Clinic believe the troublesome twosome haven’t shied away from a procedure or two – despite being only 20.

Dr Rupert Critchley tells Mirror Online: “Both of them appear to have had fillers in their lips and have likely had botox too.”

As for their voluptuous bodies, Mr Alex Karidis of the Karidis Clinic in London told Heart he believes they’ve had a helping hand.

“There are certain areas that look to have been enhanced with surgical procedures for both Jessica and Eve. Both of the girls look to have had a breast augmentation to give added volume and the fuller shape.

“Another area that looks to have had work done is possibly around the bum, where the shape of both of the girls looks to be fuller and lifted to provide more volume and pertness towards the top, resulting in a more ‘peachy’ look.

“This is likely using a procedure commonly referred to as a Brazilian Butt Lift.”

Amy Hart

For her 21st birthday, 2019 star Amy’s grandparents Dee and Harry loaned her £7,000 for a boob job.

“I’d always wanted my boobs done. I grew up in the era of Katie Price . I hated how I looked in clothes,” she told The Mirror of her decision to go from a 34A to a DD.

She also got her blonde hair extensions put back in and splashed out £13,000 on a full set of veneers when she was 17, costing around £650 per tooth.

But Amy said it’s the best decision she’s ever made.

“I’ve got 20 veneers, but they need redoing. I had gappy teeth as a child because I had braces,” she continued.

“My mum had bad teeth her whole life so she let me have them.

“Everything I’ve done in my life – my job, pageants and applying for this – I would never have done if I hadn’t had my teeth done.

“Your smile is the first thing people see about you. The best thing I’ve had done is my teeth.”

Laura Anderson

Laura had a boob job when she was just 19, going up to a whopping 32E.

The 2018 runner up has also had botox and says her boobs are in desperate need of an upgrade.

“I have fake boobs. They’re very old. They’re, like, ten years old,” she said.

“My mum and my friends keep telling me I need to get my boobs redone.”

Ellie Brown

Before entering the villa, 2018 Islander Ellie reportedly asked her surgeon to “help her look her best” – at a cost of £7,000.

And Dr Tijion Esho, who carried out the makeover, said had a nose job along with dermal filler in her lips and cheekbones.

“Ellie’s nose is now much more streamline and narrowed at the bridge with a mild lift at the nasal tip,” he told Her magazine.

“Ellie’s lips are more defined and lifted in volume in the absence of any makeup. Results are natural as treatment has been small but progressive in stages.”

He added, “Ellie’s cheek bones are more defined and angular by the use of dermal fillers with a cannula technique.”

Harley Brash

Ellie’s best mate Harley took part in the 2019 series and has undergone a transformation to rival her pal’s.

While there’s no evidence that she’s actually been under the knife, old pictures of Harley show a brown-haired girl with much slimmer lips and less defined cheeks.

Maura Higgins

In Maura’s early modelling shots she’s got smaller boobs, a flatter bum and thinner lips.

She claimed to have dropped several pounds by following a six-week transformation programme, and some suspected she’d also had butt implants put in.

But Maura’s mum has denied she’s had surgery, insisting, “She’s 28 now. She has matured. She never got plastic surgery ever.

“The only thing she ever got done – and she never hid it, she had it up on her own Instagram – was she got some lip filler. Because she had quite thin lips.”

Megan Barton-Hanson

Love Island 2018’s Megan had a boob job and a nose job when she was just 19 in the hope it would give her more confidence.

She’s also believed to have had lip fillers, a bum lift, botox, chin and jaw line surgery, cheek fillers and veneers at an estimated cost of £25,000 – apparently paid mainly by her dad.

And a source claimed to heat magazine that she’s even had surgery on her vagina.

“I remember when she booked the time off work for it and told our boss what she was having done. We were all in shock to be honest,” the insider said.

Olivia Attwood

The sporty teenager transformer her look before entering Love Island 2017 .

She started with a boob job at 19 and got heavily into the botox and fillers, admitting her goal was to have a face that “doesn’t move”.

But last year she had her fake boobs removed and her lip-filler dissolved – but only so she could start again.

“I’ve been having lip fillers for years, probably five or six years,” she said on Instagram.

“That lip has started to come out of the lip line and started to look really puffy – something I never wanted, so I’m actually excited to start again fresh. It looks better than it did because it was over-filled.”
