Love Island star reveals show’s strict sleeping rule as she issues advice to new islanders


Former Love Island star Arabella Chi, 28, joined the show as a latecomer last year and struck up a romance with Danny Williams. She is now currently dating 2018 Love Island finalist Wes Nelson.

During her series, Arabella said the islanders were not allowed to go to bed early and had to wake up at a specific time due to strict filming schedules.

Revealing what surprised her the most on the show, she exclusively told Express.co.uk: “What surprised me? How late you go to bed!

“Well, the time you think you go to bed, but it’s definitely late.

“You can try and work out the time but obviously we have no access to what time it is, you are able to kind of work it out.

“I was like, ‘Oh My God, I’m so tired,’ I am an early bird but you do go to bed quite late.”

When asked if you can take a nap at any time, she replied: “No, you can’t. There’s a bed time.”

The model went on to say that the dating hopefuls are also expected to wake up when the lights turn on.

“When the lights go on which is horrible,” she admitted.

She said: “I think you have to go with your heart, I feel like, with bombshells, you’re put in there for a reason.

“I think you can’t pussyfoot around, you have to go in there, you’re a bombshell for a reason. You’ve got to do what you want to do.

“It is scary it’s so daunting, especially when you are going in there on your own!

“You might have to break up relationships, you might upset someone but you can’t just got for someone who is single, when there’s someone else you’d like to couple up with.”

Elsewhere, Arabella is currently fronting Boux Avenue’s new sport range; Boux Sport SS20.

Speaking of her involvement, she said: “To get the opportunity to be the face of Boux Avenue’s sport range is so amazing.

“There are so many ranges out there which I’ve worn and they have fallen down or it’s see through, but this is so supportive and it looks really good.

“I’ve done hit, yoga and everything in it!”
