Love Island reveals ‘big announcement’ coming ahead of show’s premiere


The popular dating show is heading back to TV screens once again.

Love Island, now it its fifth series, will be air on June 3.

The rumour mill is currently in overdrive about who’s appearing in the villa this year, coupled with the fact that TV bosses “are determined to have more variation among the islanders”.

Despite the potential line-up chatter, ITV2 have played it coy with their latest cryptic social media post.

Keeping fans guessing on what they can expect from the latest season, the new post teased viewers that a Love Island bombshell was imminent.

The short clip featured a piece of paper floating in the pool with the words “my type” – a popular phrase coined by Amber Davies in series three.

ITV2 captioned the post: “Get the group chat ready. Big announcement coming here on Monday.”

Considering Monday is a week from the show’s premiere, the TV channel could be planning to release the line-up early.

This year, a number of celebrity siblings have been rumoured to be jetting to Majorca for a chance a finding love this summer.

Boxer Tyson Fury’s 19-old brother Tommy is allegedly on the bill.

Speaking on an MMA Show on ESPN, the sportsman said: “He’s going on a TV show called Love Island.

“He’s a good looking young kid and I think he’s going to be a hit with the ladies on it.”

Other contestant that are reportedly making an appearance include singer-turned-presenter Rochelle Hume’s doppelgänger sister Soph Piper.

It has been claimed TV chiefs are “desperate” to sign up the 20-year-old.

While Strictly’s AJ Pritchard’s brother Curtis could be showing off his dance moves in the villa too.
