Love Island pays Caroline Flack tribute as Iain Stirling delivers 'heartbreaking' speech

“Love Island will return tonight and will include a tribute to Caroline that the team in South Africa and Iain Stirling have put together.

“Caroline loved Love Island and was very vocal in her support of the show. Viewers could relate to her and she to them and that was a big part of the programme’s success. We will all miss her very much.”

Laura said on her BBC Radio 5 Live show on Sunday: “Anyone who knew Caroline knew she was vivacious, loving and had a passion for life which is why none of this makes sense.

“Caroline loved dancing and Angels by Robbie Williams reminds me of her because she danced to it on Strictly. Caroline loved music, we shared many a dance floor at festivals.

“She loved to laugh and had the most infectious chuckle.”

The Love Island host also added: ”She also had many struggles. I am not going to pretend she was perfect but she lived every mistake publicly. Your words affect people.”

Laura went on to plead with listeners to “be kind in what you say.”

Love Island 2020 continues every weeknight at 9pm on ITV2.
