Love Island news: Kirstie Allsopp hits back at Amy Hart after flight attendant brands her a ‘nightmare’ passenger

Kirstie Allsopp has hit back at new Love Island hopeful Amy Hart after the flight attendant named her as the worst celebrity passenger she’d dealt with.

Speaking ahead of her debut on the show, the 26-year-old claimed that the “nightmare” Location Location Location presenter had tried to grab extra business class seats for her sons, despite having only paid for economy tickets.

“There were lots of spare seats in business class and she kept coming back with two kids, and I was like no if you’ve booked [business] seats then you’ve booked three seats,” Hart said.

The property show presenter slammed Hart’s description of events as “absurd” in a new interview with HuffPost UK, and claimed that her comments showed “so little empathy for the travelling parent.”

“It’s just absurd, she’s not got kids,” Allsopp told the publication. “We have this rule in my family that kids shouldn’t fly in club class because it’s spoiling – I’ve always said that – but if you’re little, you have to fly with your mum and dad.

“I travel with four children because I have two step children – they are 17 and 19. We’ve always said that when you get to about seven that you don’t fly with mum and dad any more, and you go into economy.

“Obviously what happened with Amy must have been about five years ago – Bay is 12 now so he was probably travelling with his two bigger brothers and was resentful his little brother was still with me and his dad, so was probably going backwards and forwards.”

Allsopp went on to suggest that Hart might “learn the hard way” that it’s “a lot better when you get on the celeb circuit not to be rude about other people,” before eventually wishing her “a lot of luck on the show.”

Hart is one of 12 new Love Island contestants unveiled by ITV earlier this week.

Love Island returns to ITV2 at 9pm on Monday, June 3
