Love Island finalists party on the plane as they jet back to London

The Love Island finalists continued the celebrations as they finally headed back to London after the end of the first-ever winter series.

Winners Paige Turley and Finley Tapp, who scooped the £50k prize money in a nail-biting final, were joined by Siannise Fudge, Luke Trotman, Demi Jones, Luke Mabbott, Ched Uzor and Jess Gale on the 13-hour flight back to London from Cape Town, South Africa.

Paige and Finn couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they walked through the airport and as they boarded the plane, they raised a glass as they braced themselves for the long journey back.

‘Overwhelmed with the support – thank u so much everyone!’ Paige captioned a snap that was shared on her Instagram story.

Taking to Instagram, the Justin Bieber lookalike shared some wholesome content of him and Demi as they took their seats on the plane.

Ahead of their return, Paige and Finn revealed their shock at learning that Caroline Flack died during their time on the series.

The former host of Love Island was found dead at her London flat on Saturday, February 15, and was later confirmed to have taken her own life.

Islanders of the first-ever Winter Love Island weren’t told about the tragedy until just before the final with the show going on as normal in its last week.

‘[Producers] wanted to tell us at the best time and the best way and we’re thankful that they did that,’ Finn explained to The Sun.

‘We remember her fondly. We loved her as a fan watching it on telly over the past few series, that’s the relationship we had with her.’ Paige added to the publication.

‘Everybody knew how much she loved Love Island. It’s such a sensitive subject, we just send love to Caroline’s family.’

Love Island is set to return to ITV2 in the summer.
