Love Island star Maura Higgins sent the internet into a frenzy when she posted a photo of herself on a jet with a cryptic caption.

The 29-year-old Irish reality TV star took to Instagram to post the photo in a private jet while she held a glass of water and looked out of the window.

Rocking a short denim dress and white trainers, she’s looking relaxed and absolutely glowing.

But it’s the cryptic caption turning fans’ heads.

She wrote: ‘Off to the sun to shoot something very exciting…’

It comes about after Caroline Flack was arrested and charged with actual bodily harm on Friday morning, following an alleged row with boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Maura’s post prompted many to think she had been called in by Love Island producers to host the upcoming season of Love Island, filmed in South Africa and due to start next month.

One fan simply responded to her photo: ‘Take over as host of Love Island please and thanks’.

While another wrote: ‘Love Island I wonder.’

And another mused: ‘Are you heading down to SA by any chance miss Higgins’.

We don’t want to disappoint fans, but unless Maura has access to a Time Turner, it’s unlikely she’s going to host Love Island in South Africa at the same time she’s due to compete on Dancing On Ice in London next month

Caroline, 40, was accused of attacking Lewis at her home in Islington, London.

He was reportedly taken to hospital after the rumoured argument, but his injuries were not serious. Caroline also reportedly went to hospital after allegedly accidentally cutting her hand on broken glass during the row.

Caroline’s rep shared a statement with Metro.co.uk, which read: ‘We confirm that Police attended Caroline’s home following a private domestic incident.

‘She is co-operating with the appropriate people to resolve matters. We will not be making any further comment for legal reasons.’
