New winter Love Island contestant Paige Turley was in a relationship with X Factor‘s Garry Greig ahead of her audition for the ITV2 dating series.
The musician, 22, is believed to have dated the fellow singer – who is also friends with her famous ex Lewis Capaldi – on-and-off for a few years, before the pair began drifting apart in April 2019.
It has also been revealed that the upcoming TV personality had her first stroke of fame when she starred on 2012’s edition of Britain’s Got Talent at the age of 14, where she reached the semi-finals.

West Lothian natives Paige and Garry reportedly met in 2012, when they would regularly cosy up to each other at concerts and nights out.
The former couple gigged around Fauldhouse in Scotland – where they both grew up – and even played the same performed together at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro arena for Colours Classical in September 2018.
They documented their relationship on social media – attending wild outings and family get-togethers, where Paige even met Garry’s baby nephew.
On their past relationship, a friend of the couple told MailOnline: ‘Paige and Garry would go everywhere together. They’d known one another for years and enjoyed one another’s company.

‘They were never really formal about their relationship but friends knew they were seeing one another.’
The two began drifting apart in April after the blonde decided to go travelling while Garry toured in Doha.
The source explained: ‘Their relationship was one that was pretty fluid and it was thought they’d get back together once they were both on home turf but that doesn’t appear to be happening now.’

At the time, the contestant told judge Simon Cowell he hated his job and wanted to pursue music as a career.
During his last audition, he impressed music mogul Simon and his fellow judges Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh with a rendition of Stevie Wonder’s Signed Sealed Delivered.
Garry revealed he was one of three male vocalists to miss out on a place in One Direction in the same stage in 2010.
Paige also attempted to further her singing career through a competition series, as she appeared on Britain’s Got Talent eight years ago.

Displaying her vocal prowess as a teen, she stunned the panel – consisting of Simon, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams – as she performed Skinny Love by Bon Iver during the audition stages.
The hopeful advanced to the live semi-finals, where she took to the stage with a soulful take on Bruno Mars’ hit Let It Rain.
Although Simon and David were fans of her performance, the female judges were left disappointed, and decided to send her home.
Paige embarked on a relationship with Lost on You hitmaker Lewis two years after her appearance on the show.

Her Love Island appearance will no doubt stir up some emotions for her former flame, 23, who is said to have wrote his hit single Someone You Loved in the wake of their painful split.
‘We went out when we were younger, I was about 17 or 18. We were together for about a year. It ended really amicably and we’re still pals,’ she revealed ahead of her stint in Cape Town.
With more Islanders set to be added after the show debuts on Sunday, Love Island’s winter edition is sure to keep fans warm during the long nights ahead.
